Not many homeowners put much thought on their coat racks. It’s almost as if coat racks are an afterthought. For some, a simple hook will do. But then again, even the little things matter. So why put up with a boring coat rack when you can have something stylish and modern?
This DIY modern coat rack is not only functional but is also tasteful and trendy. It’s fully customizable, too. You don’t have to stick with the recommended colors or finish. You can go conservative or wild – it’s really up to you.
The woodwork involved is no rocket science. Just make sure you measure and cut properly and according to your desired dimensions.
Materials:
- Wood of your choice, cut according to desired size
- Dowel rod, size according to your needs
- 220 grit sandpaper
- Wood glue
- Paste wax (for lubrication)
- Wipe-on Poly
Tools:
- Cordless Impact Driver
- Random Orbital Sander
- Drill Press
- Miter Saw
- Planer
- Measuring tape
- Pencil
